As the advent calendar doors spring open and panic present buying begins it's time for me to get you out and about, enjoying the build up to christmas. Stop worrying about the Turkey delivery or what games should be played this year, indulge in the now. December is one of the best months for London, so go and see it...
Switch up your ice skates for roller-skates and head down to BUMP on Southbank. An all new pop up blading tent open till January the 17th. After skating take a stroll along Southbank submerging yourself in mulled wine and more Bratwursts than you can stomach.
I'm sure you're well aware of Winter Wonderland but why not venture East and try Wonderland's younger cousin. Grab a glass of Mulled Cider and venture into the Backyard cinema or simply roam the vast array of christmas stalls. Good news it's free entry but bring cash because they charge a whopping £3.49 to get cash out... DAYLIGHT ROBBERY.
3) Birdies Golf Club
From the people who bought you the Rooftop Film Club they now dive from the skies to the vaults of waterloo. Enjoy a 9 hole course of golf for £9.00 or if golfing isn't up your street grab a cocktail and watch others attempt the course. They even serve brunch, so frankly they've got all basis covered, no excuses...
4) Crystal Maze
Granted you won't actually do this before christmas but just having the tickets in your hand is enough. If like me you were addicted to Crystal Maze on TV the fact that we can now take part in a replica of the maze is just the best christmas present ever right? Book tickets ASAP as on day one the website crashed due to popular demand.
5) Santa's SUP & Soak
With the weather getting colder it seems the perfect time to hop into a wood fired hot tub, with drinks served directly to your tub there's no need to get out, EVER. But before you hop into the heat join Kiko Matthews christmassy paddle boarding excursion. The perfect mix of adventure and relaxation awaits, limited tickets left, only 12 remain as I'm writing this so get in quick. If paddle boarding doesn't take your fancy you can just opt for another date and hot tub your life away.
Take a trip to the Scandinavian forest of shepherds bush... Yes that's right, the yard has transformed into a magical christmas haven. Register online for a free winter warmer and then sit back and relax to acoustic live music or even a spot of carol singing. Open everyday apart from Monday and Tuesday.
7) Ding Dong Merrily On Diane
After seeing the Queen of Canvey twice at Edinburgh Fringe I cannot wait to see what the Duchess has in store for her christmas show. The fact that the show includes 'surprises' should be enough to make you buy a ticket if the title alone hasn't already. Get ready for all the merriment and laughs.
8) Taylor Wessing Exhibition
Let's stay cultured yes? Soak up some art not just cocktails and mulled wine. The Taylor Wessing Photographic competition showcases the very best in portrait photography from around the world. There's also a sneaky snap of Mr Cumberbatch so either way it's worth the £4.00 entry. It's on till February 21st so plenty of time.
9) Derren Brown's In Town
JUST BOOK... NOW. I mean his last show was mind-blowing and worth every penny so I have no doubt his next show 'Miracle' will be much the same. An evening that will leave you questioning everything you've ever known...
10) Horse Drawn Carriage Your Way Round Richmond
If this christmas feels particularly romantic then hop onboard Santa's Sleigh - fine it's a horse drawn carriage - but frankly that's the next best thing. Trot your way round Richmond Park and embark on a unique behind-the-scenes trip of the stables. At £125 for two people for a total of 60 minutes it's rather pricy but hey it's christmas! If you do happen to have the spare dollar for a ride then you should crack on and book as there are limited time slots with the last sleigh setting off on the 2nd of January.
11) Vauxhalls Christmas Tree Maze
Get lost. No really, lose yourself in London's largest christmas tree maze. With over 500 twinkling christmas trees surrounding you, find your way to the middle and you might just get a surprise...

13) Crack + Cider
Instead of giving money to those sleeping rough this christmas take a trip to Crack + Cider on Kingsland Road the worlds first homeless shop. Choose from winter jackets to umbrellas and get them delivered to those who need them most in time for christmas. What a wonderful idea.
14) Christmas Lights Tour
If you feel you haven't quite embraced christmas yet get in the festive spirit with a bike ride through the city centre stopping at London's most lit up buildings and attractions. From Hamley's to Harrods there's plenty to see. Bike rides leave daily at 3.30pm from now until the 3rd of January so on your bike.
Karaoke and Gospel together... I mean, perfection. If standard karaoke just isn't enough for you anymore join the folks at Gospeloke and raise the roof, with a 15 piece Gospel choir by your side you are destined for stardom. What are you waiting for? Grab you tickets now for Monday the 7th and head on down to the Electric Carousel in Piccadilly.
